The Foundry at Work

Fri Apr 10, 2009, 3:10 PM
<div align="center">CRITIQUE SERVICES</div>
<div align="center">WORDSMITH FOUNDRY</div>

As a foundry's home to steaming pots of molten iron, sweat pouring from the brows of horny-handed men of proud toil, and as a blacksmith tends his craft over years of pride and skill, so the Wordsmith Foundry is home to the noble art of criticism and critique.

Well, it's to be hoped so anyway.

The aim is to provide constructive, developmental and helpful criticism by request in any literary genre Excepting in times of plague, critiques will be responded to within the week.

Here's the contract, and the Amalgamated Trade's Union of Wordsmiths, Critics and Allied Workers Union has checked this, we will critique, honestly and positively, when asked. We will not ever sabotage a work or make snide comments. You, once you've asked, will not whine if we don't say you're as good as Dickens (and we could say some things about his need to be less verbose).

Go on, ask...

Thanks to ~jamberry-song for a newly smelted identity, much appreciated amongst the searing heat of the foundry.

If anyone would like to volunteer to provide critiques, that'd be appreciated, well read and erudite as I undoubtedly am, I can't pretend to have an expertise (or pleasure) in all genres. Haikus... eugh.

I was just wondering about my critique. I was told 4 days on April 10th, and it has now been over two weeks... I'm just perplexed.

Thanks for the crit. I've not gotten around to fixing the piece yet, but I definitely appreciate your excellent suggestions.
